Rachel Bonn

Rachel Heidenreich (she/her) — I started practicing yoga after playing sports in college. Yoga provided community, movement and mindfulness during a challenging time of transition away from sports and into adulthood.

After 5 years of repeated injuries and 2 knee surgeries, I was used to movement as punishment, I was used to movement feeling painful and I was totally disconnected from my body.

My yoga practice has changed all of that.  I now see movement as a celebration of what my body is capable of. I move intentionally from a place that feels good and with curiosity, rather than judgement.

This, coupled with the notion that yoga is simply a journey into stillness, is the foundation in which I teach from.  My vinyasa classes are athletic and powerful with a focus on anatomy and alignment to build strength, move better and find stillness. See you Saturday at 1:30pm.
